About Nick Lovegrove

Nick has spent more than 20 years in the thick of corporate and commercial law, and he still relishes the cut and thrust of it. He advises on mergers & acquisitions, restructurings, shareholder and joint venture arrangements, franchise systems, financing and commercial contracts, guiding business owners, boards and investors through high-stakes decisions.

He particularly enjoys helping long-standing owners sell businesses they’ve built over decades, as well as setting up new ventures where the right structure and shareholder agreements lay the foundation for growth and success.

Nick is known for being strategic, straight-talking and highly responsive. That accessibility has seen many clients keep him by their side for years, treating him as part of their team rather than an external lawyer.

Outside of work, Nick is dad to four daughters (yes, all girls!) and a “retired” semi-pro cyclist. These days, with the racing wheels hung up, he’s enjoying time on the tennis court, the golf course, or fishing in the Hauraki Gulf.
